So many say yes to salvation and no to an adventurous and abundant Christian life. Why would we request a downgrade?
Most of us take our precious gift of salvation and then run off to live a long life of “trying.” We try to be really good and keep the commandments. We try to love the unlovable. As we quickly find out, we just can’t do it.
What if I told you that my husband demands elaborate dinners every night? He only wants the freshest and finest ingredients, which means a daily trip to the grocery store. He doesn’t like to eat leftovers, so there isn’t even a night off. He wants fine wine, candles lit, and background music. You might have … Continue reading The Ultimate Christmas Swap

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” John 14:26 As a child, I remember hearing that the Holy Spirit is like our conscience. I’m sure whoever said that meant well, … Continue reading The Missing Link (in Your Prayer Life)
My pastor once said, “God created us in His own image and ever since we have been trying to return the favor.” Most of us really don’t think that God is like us, but we sure do act like it. When we wonder if we will have enough, we underestimate His power and provision in … Continue reading The Abundance Shift
